Pastor Mamadou Karambiri has sent out an appeal from Burkina-Faso to all French-speaking Christians. He has been Top Chrétien’s friend for many years. He has supported this ministry with his prayers, with his advice to the leadership team, and now, with this video.
His Story: Born into a very devout Muslim family in Tougan, in northwest Burkina-Faso, Pastor Mamadou Karambiri was initiated from his youth into Muslim traditions and reading Koranic verses in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso. At the age of ten, he came into contact with Christianity when he hid so that he could go to his village’s Catholic mission and read the journals about the martyrs in Uganda and other magazines about the baby Jesus. These stories made an impact upon him as a child. As it is for every good high school student, sports activities, especially handball and basketball, began to monopolize his soul. God and religion took second place in his life, and it was in this atmosphere of spiritual darkness that the Lord delighted to reveal himself to him in Toulouse, in June 1973, while he was studying econometrics in his last undergraduate year.
Lay preacher since January 1977 and Minister of the Gospel full-time since January 1990, Mamadou Karambiri was recognized and established as an apostle in January 2004, made “Knight of the National Order” by the President of Burkina-Faso in December 2005, and elevated to the rank of Doctor of Divinity in July 2007 by LOGOS Christian University of Florida. Trained as an economist, he was successively Director of Trade Promotion at the National Foreign Trade, Commercial Director of Faso Fani (the National Textile Company), and Director General of Faso Yaar (the largest distribution company in the country at the time). During his career, he has also served as Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Board of the Airline Company “Naganagani.”
Pastor Karambiri continues to travel the world today, especially the French-speaking world, to announce the message of salvation. He preaches the Word of God at Bethel Israel Tabernacle, the Church headquarters of the International Center for Evangelism. See the website http://www.cie-mia.org
